Junior Team
This level teaches young swimmers the fundamentals of competitive swimming.

Team members are ages 9 and under.

Swimmers must be able to do all four competitive strokes legally

Group goal meets: 8 & Under Championship Meet

Tryouts: held in September, December and April
Asphalt Team
This level allows group members to progress at a rate appropriate to their age.

Team members are ages 10 - 11 + 9 year olds with Junior Olympic Cuts.

Swimmers must be able to do all four competitive strokes legally.

Meets: approximately 1 per month

Group goal meets: Zones, Junior Olympics, Silver Championships

Tryouts: held in September, December and April
Green Team
This age group level prepares swimmers for senior-level swimming.

Team members are ages 12 + 10 & 11 year olds with Junior Olympic cuts.

Swimmers must have demonstrated the ability and desire to train at a high level.

Group goal meets: Zones, Senior Meets, Junior Olympics

Tryouts: held in September, December and April
Senior Team I
This group is for athletes preparing to compete at the local level.

Team members are ages 13 and over.

Swimmers are encouraged to make a set practice routine which they can maintain with their coach in order to experience improved performances.

Group goal meets: Silver Championships, Junior Olympic Trials, Senior Metropolitan Championships

Tryouts: held in September, December and April
Senior Team II
This group is for athletes preparing to compete at the regional level.

Team members are ages 13 and over with Junior Olympic cuts.

Swimmers must be able to balance the commitments required by AGUA and their school before considering taking part in this group.

Practice is 7 - 8 times per week for 2 hours, plus 2 - 3 dryland sessions.

Swimmers are required to set up a defined practice schedule with the coaching staff.

Group goal meets: Senior Metropolitan Championships, Eastern Zones, Sectionals

Tryouts: held in September, December and April
National Team
This group is for athletes preparing to compete in nationally-recognized events.

Team members are ages 13 and over with Sectional qualifying times.

Swimmers must be able to balance the commitments required by AGUA and their school before considering taking part in this group.

Practice is 7 - 8+ times per week for 2 - 2.5 hours, plus 3 - 4 dryland sessions.

Swimmers are required to meet a practice requirement which is based upon their age to insure progress through throughout their career.

Group goal meets: Sectional Championships, Junior/Senior Nationals, Olympic Trials
